- When working with print servers and testing multiple drivers you may need to completely remove a driver package
- Windows Vista &Windows 7 have a tool called the Microsoft Management Console (MMC)
Step #1
- Restart
- Login as “Administrator”
Step #2
- Type "MMC" in the start menu (search for programs and files)
- The Microsoft Management Console shortcut appear in the start menu
- Click it
Step #3
- Go up to the file menu
- Select Add/Remove Snap-im
Step #4
- Select “Print Management” snap-in from the list
- Press “Add”
Step #5
- Select “Add the Local Server”
- Press Finish
- Press ok.
Step #6
- Scroll down to your computer name
- Select the drivers tree
- Right click on the driver you want to remove
- Select “Remove Driver Package”
Step #7
- Reboot your machine
- Add new print drivers
